Royal Chitwan National Park

One of the most exciting wildlife reserves in the World, lies 75 miles Southwest(165Km) of Kathmandu. Chitwan is now one of the finest protected forests & dense grassland regions in Asia and the home of magnificent and rare wildlife. Among the 14 national parks and wildlife reserves in the Kingdom of Nepal, The Royal Chitwan National Park (932 sq. km) is the most popular safari destination. More than 43 species of animals are still found in Chitwan.The endangered one-horned rhino, Royal Bengal tiger, Gharia crocodiles, four-horned antelope, striped hyena, and the gangetic dolphin are the main attractions here.
The park is very closed to Kathmandu, which is easily accessible (only 165km) by bus and air. Bharatpur airport adjoins the park is a 25 minutes away (there are daily flights from Kathmandu). Many adventures also intent to go down by raft. However you go, a jungle safari is an experience you will remember for a long time.

Our Services:
Elephant Safari: being in the back of the huge wild animal, Totally fearless of any other animals, the elephants are the traditional means exploring the jungle and wildlife Known as the Lord of the jungle, they are the best means to watch tiger, rhino, deer, sloth bear and other wildlife.


Bird Watching:
one who is interesting or want to study about birds, chitwan national park is known as the best place, where more more then 800 species of birds are to welcome you.And early morning is known as the best time to see the bird.

Canoe Rides: Reserve one hour for canoe ride. Our canoe ride relaxes you and will enable you to view the water inhabitants such as fish, crocodiles (mars manger and gharial), birds & dear. Nature Walk or Jungle Walk: Our jungle guide takes you to view deer, rhino, wild bear, boar, Royal Bengal tiger, monkey, different kinds of birds and other wildlife.

Elephant Bathing: it will be one of the most unique program. One will be hagitating to go on the back of theelephahant but when some body starts up then no one can miss such a amusement time. Elephant Breeding Centre Visit: Where a very small to huge elephants are kept, it is very interesting to play with baby elephant. And so wonderful to see how people make them to work. How they feed and look after.

Tharu Village: Experience the culture and traditional of the Tharu people. These Terai people live near the jungle and wildlife for centuries. Who can resist the malaria, most uneducated, working in the farm, and living their lives. At night the culture programme will be held and you can see the traditional dance of Tharu.

Tharu Stick Dance:
A melodious tribal dance performed by Tharu men to the rhythms of drums and with clashing of stick embodies and projects how to drive away Rhino and other wild animals from human habitat. Once the driving away of animals is achieved, the dance turns into joyful. After dinner at the hotel /lodge/tented camp you can watch Tharu stick dance. We will arrange dance for your enjoyment.

Jungle Drive:
The visitor stay with us more than 3 nights, who can go into the jungle's park to view birds and animals by driving a jeep. Our jungle drive in the jeep will take you more than 20km.inside the jungle from Rapti river to the Lama lake, gives you opportunity to see variety of wild animal without any fear.

What to bring along with Tourists?
Binoculars, Camera with film rolls, flashlight, Sunglasses, comfortable shoes for walking, Sweater and jackets for winter (Nov/Feb.), the rest of months cotton clothes(green wild dresses are recommended for jungle). Raincoat is recommended during rainy season.

Cost:
The program during your stay at Island Jungle Resort has been designed to make your stay enjoyable and exciting. Viewing of wildlife at their best requires you to adjust to their early morning and late afternoon schedule. You are encouraged to comply with our schedule for the best viewing experience.

2 NIGHT/3 DAYS PROGRAMS SCHEDULE:
Day 01: Arrive, meet and transfer via boat across the Narayani River to Island Jungle Resort. On reaching resort, our guest relation's officer will brief guest.
• 1:00 p.m.: Lunch.
• 3:30 p.m.: Elephant Safari / Jungle Walk / Nature walk with Boat ride.
• 8:00 p.m.: Dinner.
Day 02:
• 5:30 a.m.: Wake up call followed by tea/coffee.
• 6:00 a.m.: Bird watching / Elephant Safari / Jungle walk.
• 8:00 a.m.: Breakfast.
• 9:30 a.m.: Crocodile walk. A 45 minutes walk through grassland and forest upstream
• of the Narayani river. Board boats to observe crocodiles along the bands
• While floating back to the camp.
• 1:00 p.m.: Lunch.
• 3:30 p.m.: Elephant Safari /Jungle Walk / Visit Observation Tower / Nature Walk with Boat Ride.
• 8:00 p.m.: Dinner.

Day 03:
• 5:30 a.m.: Wake up call followed by tea/coffee.
• 6:00 p.m.: Bird Watching / Elephant Safari / Jungle Walk.
• 8:00 p.m.: Breakfast.
• 9:30 p.m.: Departure.

4 Day / 3 Nights Schedule:
Day 01 and 02:
• Same as above.

Day 03:
• 9:30 a.m.: (Option 1) Boat Excursion to Amattari Ghat followed by a full day Nature Trek to the Churia Hills. Pack lunch en-route and return by land rover / jeep.
• 9:30 am: (Option 2) Visit a local village to see and learn about the people of Chitwan.
• Return to camp.
• 1:00 p.m.: Lunch.
• 3:30 p.m.: Boat excursion to Amaltari Ghat and return by jeep / landrover.
• 8:00 p.m.: Dinner.

Day 04:
• 5:30 a.m.: Wake up call followed by tea/coffee.
• 6:00 a.m.: Bird watching / Elephant Safari /Jungle walk.
• 8:00 a.m.: Breakfast.
• 9:30 a.m.: Departure.

Programs and Timings vary somewhat according to change in season and are also subject to change in case of unforeseen circumstances.
Note: all the activities are flexible, and some of the hotel from inside the national park can’t give Elephant Breeding Center visit, that is due to the long distance. But the hotel situated outside provides that programme.

Cost Includes:
All activities as per Itinerary all meals, accommodation Lodge / hotel / guest houses, tent, National park entrance fees, Gov. tax, land transportation by tourist (Bus) or mini bus(size of group)

Not Includes:
Personal expenses, Airfare, Insurance, Private transfer, Rescue.
Note: The agent or groups rebate will be 20% per person inside the park and 15% out side of the park.
